 dsc07131.jpgGraduation time is always a happy moment for every  graduating student and his/her  family, love ones and most of all his/her  friends.  you see a whole bunch of people at the South Cotabato Gym trying to find their way to catch a glimpse of their young graduates.   You watch the proud parents who were as excited as their chidren and yes they just couldnt keep still ..you hear funny stories and endless jokes about how tatay and nanay ended up selling carabao just for this special occassion.   Well, as they say in the barrio..”Talagsa lang ini..” (It is just but once) .

Bro. Damean Teston was awarded HONORIS CAUSA for Humanities.  The Alumni Achievement Award was given to the following Alumni: 


Herminia Estandarte -Agabe for Education
serving St. Joseph International Catholic school in Port Moresby Papua New Guinea for almost 30 years. She is the first Filipina and the longest serving faculty of the school. In her honor, St. Joseph named a building after her. It was called, HERMINIA ESTANDARTE-AGABE LABORATORY which houses the IT laboratories. It was the first time that St. Joseph has honored one of its teaching staff.

ESTER Ramos-Natividad- Business /Entrepreneur
Graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1974. She pursued a career in banking. Her leadership paved the way for Banco De Oro in General Santos City to be awarded as Branch of the Year in Mindanao and 1st runner up in the nationwide search for Branch of the Year.

High School Alumni AchieversPosthomous Award was given to RAMON B. SAN ANDRES- Science and Technology
Graduated in 1965 as class valedictorian. He is a Geologist and GEoPhysicist. he was part of the group that successfully applied microgravity technique in calculating mass depletion in geothermal reservoir. He was offered a high paying job in United Kingdom as Expatriate Support Geologist but his love for the Philippines made his opt to stay and served the Filipino people. Ramon died in Dec. 20, 2007 a few days after he attended class 65 reunion.

ARTHUR Y.PINGOY JR.- Government Services.
Graduated high school in 1975. He pursued degree in medicine but later decided to enter politics so he can do more for other people. On the 14th Congress he is the Chairman on the Committee on Health. He is the main proponent of RA 9211 otherwise known as the TOBACCO REGULATION ACT. he is also one of the principal authors of the CHEAP MEDICNE BILL.
